S2  Cè-zù tin-ba-deh.  ကျေးဇူး တင်ပါတယ်။  Thank you. 

  or Cè-zù-bèh.  ကျေးဇူးပဲ  Thanks. 

S1  Thwà-meh-naw.  သွားမယ်နော်။  Goodbye. 

S2  Kaùn-ba-bi.  ကောင်းပါပြီ။  Goodbye. 

Notes 

Cè-zù-bèh “Thanks” is a shade more casual than Cè-zù tin-ba-deh. 

Thwà-meh-naw literally: “I’m going to go – is that OK?”. There are many variants, e.g. 

Pyan-meh-naw. ပြန်မယ်နော်။ I’m going home now – OK? 

Thwà-ba-oùn-meh. သွားပါအုံးမယ်။ I will go now. 

Kaùn-ba-bi = “That’s fine”, “Yes, that’s all right”. The standard response to a Goodbye phrase.
