Repeat the unclear word with the question suffix -là; as in line 3 in this example dialogue:       

S1  Da beh-lauq-lèh?  ဒါ ဘယ်လောက်လဲ။  How much is this? 

S2  Ngà-zeh-ba.  ငါးဆယ်ပါ။  It’s 50 kyats. 

S1  Ngà-zeh-là?  ငါးဆယ်လား။  Did you say 50? 

S2  Houq-kéh, ngà- zeh-ba.  ဟုတ်ကဲ့၊ ငါးဆယ်ပါ။  Yes, it’s 50.
